Wizz Air's free carry-on is 40 × 30 × 20 cm and up to 10 kg — the same footprint as Ryanair's. The catch: Wizz Air is famous for enforcing gate measurements to the millimetre. If your bag flexes past the metal cage, it goes in the hold and you pay.

The rules

Every fare includes 1 free carry-on bag at 40 × 30 × 20 cm, up to 10 kg, that must fit under the seat.
Dimensions include wheels and handles — although wheels may add no more than 5 cm to the stated size.
For the larger overhead trolley (55 × 40 × 23 cm, 10 kg) you need WIZZ Priority, also included in the WIZZ Go and WIZZ Plus bundles.
There is no way to buy the trolley allowance on its own — it only comes with WIZZ Priority.
Arriving at the gate with a trolley and no Priority means the bag goes in the hold — around €65.
