TUI Airways hand luggage allowance
Two free bags on UK flights: a 10 kg cabin bag plus a small under-seat item.
TUI Airways (flight code BY) is one of the last UK carriers to include a proper cabin bag for free: every passenger aged 2 and over gets a 10 kg bag at 55 × 40 × 20 cm for the overhead locker, plus a small under-seat item at 40 × 30 × 20 cm. It applies to flight-only bookings as well as package holidays.
The rules
- Every TUI Airways (BY) fare includes 1 free cabin bag up to 55 × 40 × 20 cm and 10 kg, wheels and handles included.
- You also get 1 small under-seat item up to 40 × 30 × 20 cm — handbag, laptop bag or small backpack.
- Bags are actively checked on busy and school-holiday flights; over the size or weight and it goes in the hold, charged at airport prices.
- Infants under 2 travelling on a lap ticket don't get their own hand luggage allowance.
- Continental TUI fly airlines (Belgium, Spain, Netherlands, Germany) have their own, less generous cabin bag rules — check your operating carrier.
